Writing about your own tank?
Four lines saves a round trip, and usually gets you a real answer instead of a question back:
- The water. Freshwater, planted, or reef — the answer often differs completely.
- The volume, and whether it's measured or the number on the box. If you've used the true volume calculator, say what it gave you.
- The readings that matter, with the kit you used. "Alk 6.8 dKH, Hanna checker" is worth more than "alkalinity is low."
- What changed recently — new livestock, a dose, a water change, a heater failure. It's nearly always in there.
